I knew that I had a couple more images worthy of processing and sharing on Fine Art America, this being one of them. This photograph was shot back in December, 2023 when the dawn air was quite brisk, but exhilarating as well.
The unique sculpture seen in the middle left of this capture is known as "Water's Soul" created by Jaume Plensa.
I found it to be a wonderful addition to the Jersey City Waterfront. For those so inclined, you can read up on it here: https://waterssouljc.com/
I chose to set up my camera in the portrait (vertical) orientation, so that I could highlight the various pilings seen in the fore and middle ground. This also served as a wonderful thematic tool to draw one's eyes to the the Freedom Tower in the background. As a matter of fact, I feel that a photographer should start with the background first when composing a photo as a means to present a quality image.
