Description
In my imagination the scene is the 1930s flight from the Dust Bowl. The car made is as far as New Mexico and went no further. abandoned on the side of the road, it has become an historical marker and a reminder of the past.

Wonderful work Joe, clouds like thought bubbles, a half eaten car, an horizon from here to Casablanca. Good eye.

Oh, if this old jalopy could talk, what tales might it reveal? The fact that you chose to dhow this in black and white even adds more drama to the composition.

This is a very good shot, truly a picture that one can gaze at and never know the answer. also I, want to thank you so much for the kind words on my Mission In the Sun.

This is eloquent in its desolation. One can put together all kinds of scenarios to match the old hulk. After all of these years of baking in the hot sun, it is oxidizing into basic elements and will disappear altogether in the march of time. For now, it has become a ghost of the past and, perhaps, a shelter for lizards and other critters.
